About

Tomoko Iki explores the invisible forces of nature through the lens of her long-standing experience in dance. She seeks to connect with something beyond the visible—a presence felt through bodily perception. Utilizing multiple exposure photography, she captures natural phenomena that can only be perceived through the camera. Iki describes this process as an abstraction built upon layers of truth. Although her subjects include trees, rivers, and flowers, the resulting images often resemble cosmic visions or abstract paintings, evoking diverse impressions and interpretations from the viewer.

壹岐倫子は長年ダンスを踊る経験から、自然の中に在る目に見えない「何か」に繋がる感覚に興味を持つ。身体感覚と多重露光を用い、レンズを通してしか見えない自然現象を探求している。彼女はその行為を真実の積み重ねによる抽象化と語る。森や川、花々などの自然物を撮影した写真でありながら、宇宙や抽象画のように感じられ、見る者にさまざまな捉え方や印象を与える。
